UPCOMING EVENTs DETAILS

“Dear family,”

“As we journey towards to end of the year, it is imperative that we prepare to finish the year on a high note. This indeed has been our Year of Pursuit. As we pursued the Lord and His leadings, we have seen His hand and grace in many instances of our lives. Many have had some incredible testimonies of God’s intervention and goodness.”

“I believe that there is so much more that the Lord has for us as we wind down to the end of the year. That is why we are setting aside this week to fast and pray so that we can end the year on a good note. We are trusting the Lord to help us to not finish the year empty-handed. He will crown our year with goodness and favor. It will be a season where every delayed blessing will have tobereleased. There mustbemind-boggling testimonies at the end of this fast.”

“We shall also take time to seek the Lord for the coming year. We need to seek His mind and guidance for the coming year. We have not been this way before. We will entreat Him for His guidance, direction, protection and favor as we look forward to a brand new year.”

““I proclaimed a fast there beside the Ahava Canal, a fast to humble ourselves before our God and pray for wise guidance for our journey – all our people and possessions. I was embarrassed to ask the king for a cavalry bodyguard to protect us from bandits on the road. We had just told the king, “Our God lovingly looks after all those who seek him, but turns away in disgust from those who leave him.””
“So we fasted and prayed these concerns. And he listened.””
“zra 8:21-23)”

“Determine that you will make a success of this exercise. Pay the price, sacrifice, focus and pursue the purposes of God. The impossible will be possible and you will have every cause to celebrate the goodness of God. May the finishers grace be upon you. Let’s pray!”
“Yours in His Pursuit,”

“Frank Ofosu-Appiah”

GUIDELINES TO THE FAST

How you conduct the fast will largely determine the outcome of the exercise. If you’ve never embarked on a season of fasting before, this is a good time to start. Here are a few guidelines to help you gain all

the rewards of fasting and praying.

STEP 1: THE OBJECTIVE

Our objective is to pursue God and His grace to finish the year on a high note. We want to take hold of every promise that has been given to us by the Lord. We will not end the year empty-handed.

STEP 2: SPIRITUAL PREPARATION

The fundamental reason behind fasting is to humble and chasten oneself in order to focus on God. Chastening produces the character of God in us. We are stripped of all the things that are displeasing in the sight of the Lord. We express our sincere remorse and penitence before God. Unconfessed sin hinders our prayers so we humble

ourselves to ask for His forgiveness and cleansing.

Please read: Ps. 69:10 • Ps. 35:13

Here are a few things you can do the help you prepare spiritually:

• Ask the Holy Spirit to expose every hidden and known sin in your life.

• Confess every sin and accept God’s forgiveness.

• Forgive all who have offended and hurt you, and seek forgiveness from all you might have offended.

• Make restitution as the Holy Spirit leads you.

• Have an expectant heart to receive blessings from the Lord.5

STEP 3: PHYSICAL PREPARATION

• Cut down on foods high in caffeine, fat, salt and sugar.

• Abstain from solid food until after 6pm on the days of the fast.

• You may drink lots of water during the day.

• Break your fast gently with smaller portions of food than you will

normally eat.

• If you are on medication, are pregnant or nursing a baby, please don’t fast unless your physician gives you permission to do so. However, please pray.

• Expect some physical discomfort, expecially during the first couple of days. It is normal. Withdrawal from caffeine  and sugar often cause headaches, weakness and tiredness.

STEP 4: BREAKING THE FAST

After 6pm, you can break your fast with first drinking some warm or room temperature water. You can then eat some fruits like

bananas or apples, after which you can eat some light food.

Please do not over eat!

STEP 5: FOLLOW THE CORPORATE SCHEDULE

MORNING

• Join the corporate prayer line at 5:30 am to pray with other believers. (641)-715-0664 Code: 827712#

• Spend more time in praising and worshipping God.

• Read and meditate on God’s Word.

NOON

• Spend time to pray and read God’s Word.

• Pray in line with the prayer points in this bulletin.6

EVENING

Come to Kharis House Monday through Friday and join your church family to worship and pray corporately at 6:30 pm.

STEP 6: EXPECT GREAT RESULTS FROM THE LORD

As you sincerely pursue the Lord in prayer and fasting, expect God to bring some great testimonies your way. You will never end the year empty-handed.

“Saturday, December 3, 2016”

PRAYING FOR RESTORATION AND THE FINISHER’S GRACE

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.” (Joel 2:25)

There are few things more embarrassing than unfinished projects and business. As we end the year we want the Lord to help us finish everything that we started. We ask for the finishers grace to rest upon us.

• Pray for the finisher’s grace to finish 2016 strong and well.

• Decree a renewed strength to pursue and overtake any adversary who has gone ahead of you and repossess your possessions.

• Decree and declare that you are breaking out of every box of imprisonment to a life of fulfillment in the rest of the year and the coming years.

• Pray for breakthroughs that will overcome past failures.

• Decree a restoration of whatever has been destroyed by any kind of locust.

• Decree and command accelerated promotion in every area of your life.

• Declare that you will overtake those who have taken advantage of you.

• Decree an accelerated attainment of divine destiny for your children.

• War with the blood to pull down any stronghold in the church.

• Decree and declare that by the God’s power, every dream of your life shall be achieved.
